- InfoCraft Corporation, San Mateo: Designed and produced corporate image standards for incorporation into company web page. Produced HTML content for pages utilizing links into Citrix WinFrame Internet Client Adapter software running on server, allowing live demonstration of applications.
- Austin-Hayne Corporation, San Mateo: Produced HTML and graphics for web page, provided consulting on information design, and performed installation and configuration of Windows NT web server software.
- The Tech Museum, San Jose: Taught as substitute instructor in interactive Media Lab, working with students from 4th to 12th grade level on Macintosh systems equipped with videodisc and CD-ROM interactive materials.
- Rauh, Good, Darlo, and Barnes, Los Gatos: Consulted with general contractor during design phase for new location. Installed network hub for 10-employee Appletalk network. Installed computers after building completion, and provided desktop support and systems purchase consulting.
- McClary, Swift and Co. Inc., South San Francisco: Installed two IBM PC clone workstations and software, installed phone lines for connection to modems for on-line package tracking systems, connected workstations to UNIX mainframe, and provided user training and software demonstration.
- Paragon Design, Los Gatos: Repaired file server and recovered data after hard disk subsystem failure, specified purchase of replacement storage system, transferred files and installed new system.
- Hagen Graphics, Los Gatos: Provided computer consulting, networking, and training services to novice Macintosh users in a graphic design and advertising facility. Performed file transfers across platforms.
- Don Fitzpatrick & Associates, San Francisco: Installed and set up Novell Netware server after office move. Installed extensive cabling for Arcnet hub network, connected four IBM PC clone workstations. Provided user training, file system maintainence, and specified software package purchases.
- Barney Davidge & Associates, Los Gatos: Provided consultation for selection of 3D modeling packages for a architechural design and illustration firm. Installed software platform emulation programs, and managed planning of future equipment purchases.
- Verilink Corporation, San Jose: Performed software and hardware upgrades for the Marketing Department 10-user network, including storage and memory upgrades. Counseled client on choices available for network backup systems, and assisted in evaluation of productivity software packages.
- Schaub & Company, Los Gatos: Provided computer consulting, networking, and training services to novice Macintosh users in a graphic design and advertising facility. Installed networking software for work with remote client firms.
- Adspeak, Los Gatos: Restored vital typography information following the failure of a hard drive system. Installed remote control and file transfer software for work with subcontracting design firms. Provided consulting regarding upgrade of various software packages.
- Shakespeare Santa Cruz: Set up and engineered three-camera video shoots of Midsummer Night's Dream and Measure for Measure at the UC Santa Cruz Festival Glen and Performing Arts Center. Assembled multi-vendor production system including three 3/4" U-Matic SP VCRs, 3 Sony cameras, Panasonic switcher, and multiple video monitors. Performed field repair on intermittent intercom system. Balanced camera image quality under difficult and varying lighting conditions. Worked with directorial staff to provide a comfortable and ergonomic production environment.
- Pat O'Graphics, Scotts Valley: Provided computer consulting and training services to a freelance graphic designer; purchased equipment, performed system upgrades including additional memory installation, auxiliary monitor installation, and connection of SCSI bus equipment, including three hard drives and a scanner. Performed system backups, and managed software updates.
- Classic Stereo and Satellite, Scotts Valley: Worked with owner during installation of satellite systems, assembling, mounting, and tuning dish, running subterranean cable, and training clients in system usage.
- KCBA-TV FOX 35, Salinas: Assisted engineering crew with station move into new 45,000 square foot facility. Reconfigured GVG Horizon routing switcher for multi-frame/stereo audio use. Laid out/installed/connected audio patch bays and distribution amplifiers. Performed emergency on-air maintainence of production switcher. Installed microwave and satellite dishes with semi-flexible waveguides. Worked with staff around the clock to keep station on air during studio changeover.
- S & G Press, Hayward: Designed, built and installed 2 IBM-PC based systems for accounting records & production control of a large printing company. Later installed Unisys 5000/50 16-user Unix system. Interfaced Unix system to PC's with file exchange and remote disk logging utility. Configured communications hardware and software while working with an East Coast software firm during transfer of software from their site. Acted as interim system administrator during training of on-site personnel. Installed cabling for multiple terminals throughout production facility.
- Silicon Valley Video, Sunnyvale: Subcontracted to S.V.V, another freelance video engineering firm, during their rebuild of Triad, Sunnyvale's video editing system. Installed 3/4" U-Matic A-B roll edit system with small effects switcher and audio mixer.
- De Anza College, Cupertino: Installed computerized A-B roll 3/4" U-Matic video edit system with interfaced digital video effects in their Television Center. Assisted with install of satellite uplink/downlink videoconferencing facility and lecture hall.
- ByVideo, Sunnyvale: Installed new CMX 3400 computer video editing system for their interactive videodisc production house. Relocated existing Sony editing system to new booth on site.
- Television Associates, Mountain View: Assisted with complete rebuild of Edit One and Master Control at this videotape production and duplication house. Wrecked out obsolete cabling. Replaced edit system with CMX 3400. Assisted with remodeling and expansion of duplication facility.
